WA Weekends Of Action Virtual Kick-Off !

Please join us for our virtual WA Weekends of Action Kick-Off!

Come to this kick-off if you are excited and eager to learn about the campaigns and partners we will be doing work with this year. Our voter engagement efforts (door-knocking and voter registration) will be focused in a few different areas and districts of Washington this year and each area will feel and look different in how we approach our work there.

During our virtual kick-off, we will provide a deep-dive of all the candidates and partners we are planning on supporting, and tell you why, how, and the timeline of when each effort will be launched. Good to note, that we are currently prioritizing primary efforts in Vancouver, WA for Maria Gluesenkamp, Yakima Valley for a State House and State Senate seat + a Ballot initiative in Kent!

We hope to see you there!

WA Weekends of Action With Kent For Districts Petition Gathering!

Join us for our WA Weekends of Action with Kent For Districts petition gathering!

Kent For Districts is a Ballot initiative petition gathering effort we believe is an important local effort that aligns with our values of creating a more just and inclusive democracy. A change in Kent municipal election system from at-large elections to district-based elections can create a fair chance for black and brown candidates to run and win to represent their communities. Currently, Kent is a non-white majority City with a white-majority City Council.

Training will be available and led by the "Kent For Districts" Organizers. Please bring comfortable walking shoes + your canvassing smiles!

Agenda:

  • 10:40 Meet at Kent Panther Lake Library Parking Lot

  • 10:45 Community huddle + Ice breaker

  • 11:00 Training Led by "Districts" For Kent organizers

  • 11:30 Drive to canvassing location

  • 11:30 - 1:30 Petition gathering Canvassing

NOTE: Please be there by 10:40 as the agenda says. Mobilize didn't let us change to 10:40. Thank you!
